Low-torque drive: A very low-power synchronous motor gently maintains platter speed instead of forcefully driving it. The platter is given a manual push to start, reducing motor-induced vibration. 

High rotational mass: Heavy platters (from about 15 lbs. on the Interspace Jr. to 55 lbs. on the Anna Log) provide tremendous rotational inertia, smoothing out speed variations. 

Precision bearings: Oversized, low-friction bearings and oil-pumping designs on higher models support the heavy platter while minimizing noise and wear. 

Mechanical simplicity: Shorter belts, separate high density composite motor pods, and minimal electronics reduce potential sources of vibration. Higher models use the optional or standard Wave Mechanic to provide a cleaner AC waveform and more precise speed control, not to compensate for the mechanical design. 

Natural resonance control: Rather than attempting to eliminate every vibration with complex isolation systems, Nottingham uses carefully chosen materials such as graphite, cast iron, alloy, bronze, and hardwoods to dissipate resonances in a controlled way. 

Musicality over measurement: Fletcher often emphasized that listening was the ultimate test. His goal was to reproduce the rhythm, timing, tonal color, and emotional character of music rather than simply optimizing laboratory specifications.

The progression from the Interspace through the Hyperspace, Dais, and Anna Log follows the same philosophy: each step increases platter mass, bearing sophistication, and resonance control while preserving the same fundamental low-torque, high-inertia approach. Rather than changing the design concept at each price level, Nottingham refined the execution of a single, consistent engineering philosophy.

Interspace Junior

The Interspace Jr. represents Nottingham’s entry into affordable high-performance analog enjoyment. The essence of simplicity and life-long reliability, the Interspace subtly incorporates Nottingham Analog’s fundamental design concepts using a built-in low-torque motor, belt driven high mass platter, and composite plinth. The Interspace Jr. demonstrates that, great vinyl playback need not “break the bank”!

Ace Spacedeck

The Ace Space builds on the performance of the Interspace with significant features from Nottingham Analog’s top-tier turntables. A raised, precision machined arm board allows for the included Ace Space Tonearm and the ability to mount alternative tonearms, while also utilizing Nottingham’s proven Pod Mounted drive motor system. As a result, the Ace Space may be the “quietest background” vinyl playback system for your money on the market!

Space 294

Long before the most turntable manufacturers could support 12-inch tonearms, Nottingham Analog understood and pursued the inherent benefits of extending tonearm lengths. In pursuit of better tracking, reducing cartridge distortion, and the lessening of anti-skate forces, the original Space 294 Turntable was brought to market in the mid-2000’s. Today’s Space 294 has been refined over  20 years resulting in Nottingham’s latest masterpiece.
Starting with a “blank sheet of paper”  the Space 294 was designed as a complete turntable system, built around a newly designed, dedicated 12-inch Ace Space tonearm. The majority of manufacturers, scrambling to catch up with 12-inch tonearm market demand simply added longer arm tubes to existing arm designs and/or “stretched” their plinths. If shopping for a premium, extended tonearm design, ask yourself, “Which makes more sense?”.

Hyperspace

The Hyperspace is considered Nottingham Analog’s first true reference-level turntable. Nottingham’s design principles steadfastly applied with larger scale on nearly every feature. Dais

Nottingham’s Dias turntable was built upon the incredible success of the Hyperspace, further refining Nottingham’s designs. The Dias form factor is based upon the hyperspace however considerably more mass is added across the turntable, tighter tolerances are adhered to, and the standard motor power supply is replaced by Nottingham’s precision Wave Mechanic power supply and motor controller.
The result is an impressive 80 pound plus full assault on reference-level turntable performance at a fraction of most companies’ flagship prices!

Anna Log

The Nottingham Analogue Anna Log is the company's “no-holes-barred” flagship production turntable. Designed by the late Tom Fletcher, it combines an exceptionally massive platter and Colbalt bearing, dual drive motors, and a unique solid-wood chassis intended to dissipate harmonic vibrations from both surroundings as well as the turntable itself. Real woods demonstrate natural grain & density inconsistencies, ideal for dissipating and absorbing vibrations that otherwise come through your system as distortion & “noise”.
